My turning point didn’t happen in a gym. It happened when I saw a picture of myself feeding my granddaughter a bottle… and there was barely any room for her on my lap. That was the day I knew I had to get my weight under control. 

Back then, I was sitting at 210 lbs and heading straight toward a list of health problems just like everyone else, and I knew I couldn’t afford — diabetes, high blood pressure, neuropathy, high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure… and don’t even get me started on the price of medications for all that. I refused to let that become my life.

So I made a real change. No diet pills. No magic programs. No expensive memberships. I cleaned out my pantry, reset my habits, and took it day by day. And here’s the part I’m proud of — I’ve kept the weight off for almost 10 years. My body naturally fluctuates about 10 pounds between 140 and 150, and I’m perfectly okay with that. I feel good, I’m healthy, and I have energy for my family.

These guides are exactly what helped me get started and stay consistent. I’m sharing them because I want other women to feel hopeful again and have a simple, doable starting point — especially with the holidays coming and everybody wanting to look and feel their best.
